I had the privilege of reading an Advance Review Copy (ARC) of Garden of Her Heart by USA Today Bestselling Author Shanna Hatfield. This article is my honest review of this sweet romance, set in 1942, midst World War II and the internment of American Citizens of Japanese descent. This well-written, heartwarming sweet (clean) romance is a FIVE STAR read. Shanna’s blog tour for this new release will follow this book review in three days, on release day, December 7, 2016.

The Remembrance Nye Trilogy by Mary Jane Auch consists of three Y.A. titles suitable for readers of all ages. I enjoyed them and share my no-spoilers review of all three books. Whether you’re shopping for young readers (these are not “chapter books”; I recommend age 11 or so through great-grandparents) or interested in a clean read yourself, these books delve into accurate history. I only review and share books I personally enjoyed.

When a book and its characters linger in my mind months after I finished reading (or listening), I know it’s a keeper. Deanne Gist grabbed my full attention with FAIR PLAY. I savored every scene and chapter, often wondered where the story would go (a delicious kind of curiosity), and ultimately delivered one of the most satisfactory endings. 5 stars!

I had the pleasure of reading an ARC (advance review copy) of SODA SPRINGS by the author Carolyn Steele. This article provides my review of this charming western historical novel and an interview with the author. I share insights about this coming-of-age novel, recommend the book to more than one type of reader, and am pleased to be one stop along the new release’s Blog Tour journey.
